once upon a time... //In the spring of 2005 Will (aka Will C) found himself single in a funny little country in the easternmost part of Scandinavia that quite a lot of people think is, or was, a part of Russia. The snow was still melting in the streets, the nights were long, and there wasn’t much else to do apart from drink dodgy local beer fermented by dwarfs.
On one particularly nondescript melty night late in the spring of 2005 Glenn and Will ventured out together to a nearby saloon, where the local hippy folk had been putting on a little show now and again. The music was pretty ok, but really the haircuts were more impressive, so much so that the local womenfolk were sometimes hard to distinguish from their male brothers. Glenn wondered how beautiful it would be if all the great music could somehow be brought directly to the people, without having to rely on the hippy folks sometimes lacklustre renditions. Will realized that with his obscure knowledge of sacred japanese programming codes, they could probably manage to transmit good music to all reaches of the known universe, as long as they could construct a suitably powerful quantum computer. Throughout the summer of 2005 Will toiled on the design of the quantum computer that would transmit good music to all known dimensions of the universe. Central to the design was the superposition bassline: the bassline that would ensure enough calculations could be completed before the collapse of the wave function. Glenn set to work and locked himself in his room for weeks at a time, searching for that one bassline that would be fat enough to power the quantum computer. During the research period Glenn was able to earn a living by selling the basslines that didn’t quite make it: local tribesmen would pay hundreds of gold coins to get hold of these beautiful basslines. It was in this period that Glenn earned his pseudonym of ‘Physics’: the bassline scientist. Eventually, after the unfortunate death of one small chinese pygmy horse, and the untimely demise of three long nosed monkeys, Glenn hit upon the one magic bassline that was fatter than any other that had been before. This was a bassline so incredibly fat it could make a vacuum shake. With this bassline Will and Glenn were able to power the Digital Tunes quantum server, and transmit beautiful music to all dimensions of the known universe. And thus the beloved entity we know today as Digital Tunes was born, and you too by passing a few meagre gold coins to Glenn and Will can share in the spoils of Will and Glenn's triumphant achievement. | ||

When Will wasn’t drinking beer or accustoming himself with the natives traditions, which generally involved getting naked, eating sausages, drinking more beer (and getting naked again), he sometimes found a few minutes to catch up on the latest in quantum mechanics, and learn obscure computer languages invented by japanese buddhist monks. He also found a few minutes each evening to practice his ukulele, hoping to attract the females with lonesome ballads of love and heartfelt compositions on the beauty of the bower bird.
Glenn (aka Physics), meanwhile, was living in a small village close by, busy making music, and fighting for his rights as a repressed member of the ethnic minority. Although the oppressive nature of the country made life tiresome sometimes, this never diminished his love for the music. Through music he believed he could unite the local tribes, and create unity, love, and everlasting peace. And sometimes he went for the odd beer too.
